🧬 Virus Resistance – Season 1 Overview
Virus Resistance is the most important stat in Season 1 of Last War: Survival – The Crimson Plague. It affects nearly every activity in the game, from killing infected to fighting players in PvP.
📌 Virus Resistance is increased by upgrading your Virus Research Institute (VRI) and is capped at 10,000.
💡 Why Virus Resistance Matters
Without enough resistance, your units suffer:
- ⚠️ Increased damage from infected
- ⚠️ Combat debuffs in PvP
- ⚠️ Ineffective city captures and higher troop loss
Virus Resistance is not just a PvE stat. If you ignore it, you’ll lose fights even with strong squads.
🧟 Two Types of Resistance
There are two core areas where Virus Resistance is critical:
👉 PvE Resistance →
- Infected (mobs & cities)
- Plague Crisis
- Campaign missions
- PvE events
👉 PvP Resistance →
- City wars
- Military Base (Outpost) fights
- Defense against players
- Troop survivability in war
📈 Resistance Scaling by VRI Level
Virus Resistance increases non-linearly as you level your Virus Research Institute. Below is an approximate curve showing how it scales:

✅ How to Increase Resistance
- Upgrade the Virus Research Institute (VRI)
- Lv30 = 10,000 Virus Resistance (cap)
- Complete events that reward VRI EXP & Immune Protein
- Focus on VRI first before other seasonal buildings
📉 Power Isn’t Everything
In Season 1, raw power doesn’t win battles — not without Virus Resistance. Players with lower power but full resistance will regularly outperform those with millions more in squad strength.
Here’s a simulated example:
📊 Effective Power vs Virus Resistance

| Player | Power (M) | Virus Resistance | Effective Power (%) | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Player A | 10 | 10,000 | 100% | Fully effective |
| Player B | 20 | 4,000 | ~60% | Heavily debuffed |
| Player C | 30 | 2,000 | ~40% | Loses to weaker players |
| Player D | 15 | 10,000 | 100% | Ready for PvP |
📌 Takeaway: Even with 30M power, you will lose to 10M players with max resistance if you don’t prioritize the Virus Research Institute.
