🗺️ Tactical Map Positioning
Map control is everything in Season 1 — whether you’re expanding your own server, invading others, or defending from incoming wars. This guide explains how to position your bases, Outposts, and alliance territory for maximum impact.
🧭 Base Placement Strategy
- During kill days and city wars:
- Port near rally points or targets for faster marches
- Avoid clustering too tightly (virus bombs can hit multiple bases)
- On defense, form a reinforceable hive within alliance territory
Tips:
- Keep 1–2 relocators and shields on hand at all times
- Always port in AFTER war declaration for surprise rallies
- Keep weaker players in protected areas during wars
🌐 Outpost Deployment (Week 3+)
- Outposts let you capture strongholds and cities in other Warzones
- You can place 1 per Warzone, up to 4 total
- Must be built on neutral tiles, costs Immune Protein
Recommended Strategy:
Alliance Tier | Outpost Timing | Target Servers |
---|---|---|
Top 3 | Early Week 3 — aggressive expansion | Heavily contested zones |
Top 10–15 | Follow after Top 3 — support roles | Neighboring Warzones |
Smaller Alliances | Delay until zones are safer | Less active servers |
🔗 City & Stronghold Chains
- You must chain territory from your alliance HQ or Outpost
- Losing a key stronghold can cut access to connected cities
- Prioritize defending choke points and bridge tiles
Recommended Priorities:
- Build from L1 strongholds → L3–L5 cities
- Always keep 1–2 backup paths if your forward tile is lost
🏛️ Capital Pathing (End of Season)
- The City of Apocalypse opens at the end of the season
- Position alliances near L6 cities adjacent to the Capital
- Coordinate with coalition to assign paths, buffers, and rally zones
📦 Backup Planning
- Have an “anchor” city or stronghold to fall back to if overrun
- Use rotation strategy with allied alliances to extend protection
- Don’t overextend territory — it spreads your defenses thin
